Planning a Memorable Celebration? Start Here
At Vermillion Hotel, we’ve built our event spaces around that reality: four distinct function rooms, six configurable layouts, and a team whose entire job is making sure the setup disappears into the background so your event can take center stage.
Start With the Room, Not the Checklist
Before you think about catering or seating charts, it helps to know what you’re actually working with. Vermillion’s four function rooms — Red, Ruby, Garnet, and Scarlet — each offer a different footprint and capacity, from intimate boardroom meetings to receptions for several hundred guests. Ruby, our largest, comfortably hosts up to 530 guests theater-style, while Scarlet’s more intimate scale suits smaller gatherings, workshops, or private dinners. Knowing your guest count early makes every decision after it easier.
Six Ways to Arrange the Same Room
The same function room can feel completely different depending on how it’s set up, which is exactly the point. We offer:
- Theater — rows of forward-facing seating, ideal for large presentations, conferences, or keynote-style programs.
- Boardroom — a single central table for executive meetings where direct conversation matters most.
- U-Shape — seating arranged to face inward, leaving space in the middle for a presenter or facilitator, perfect for interactive discussions.
- Banquet — round tables designed for shared meals and mingling, the classic wedding-reception layout.
- Cocktail — standing-room configurations that maximize movement and mixing, suited to receptions and launches.
- Classroom — rows of tables paired with chairs, built for trainings, seminars, and workshops where guests need to take notes.
Not sure which fits your event? That’s genuinely what our events team is for — describe what you’re planning, and we’ll match it to the layout that serves it best.
The Details That Are Easy to Forget
A few things worth locking down early, since they tend to get overlooked until the week of the event:
- Guest count precision matters more than you’d think — it determines everything from room assignment to catering quantities.
- AV needs (microphones, projectors, staging) should be flagged when you book, not the day before.
- Room flow — if your event has multiple phases (ceremony, then reception, for instance), let us know so we can plan transitions between setups.
Let Us Take It From Here
Once you’ve got a rough shape for your event — room size, layout style, and headcount — the rest is genuinely easier than it looks. Our dedicated events team handles the logistics of turning a bare function room into whatever your occasion calls for, whether that’s a formal boardroom negotiation or a celebration meant to be remembered for years.
